Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the Externship Students will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians at National Veterinary Associates hospital to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and managing patients medically. The externship also provides an opportunity to practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externship Details Duration ranges from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. Designed specifically for clinical-year veterinary students. Benefits & Stipend Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel and living expense stipend.
