As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Associate in Reston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, policy violations, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and delivery processing in accordance with site rules, helping to control access to restricted areas and sensitive equipment spaces.
• Maintain a visible presence while carrying authorized equipment, complete required reports, and report hazards, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is required.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
