Do you see a print and immediately map out the steps to build it? Do you enjoy solving tricky fit-and-finish problems others avoid? As a Precision Toolmaker in Lumberton, NC, you’ll turn specifications into reliable tools and dies that keep manufacturing on pace.

You receive a complex drawing first thing. You choose the right materials, plan your sequence, and set up the mill. By midday, you’ve switched to the lathe to hit a tight tolerance, then finish on the grinder. Before wrap-up, you inspect, test, and collaborate with engineering to verify function—leaving the tool ready for production.

• Design and build precision tools, dies, and fixtures per detailed specifications.
• Configure and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders to machine components accurately.
• Inspect, gauge, and test completed tools and dies to confirm quality compliance.
• Team with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot and resolve tooling concerns.
• Maintain and repair existing tooling to prolong performance and service life.
• Document tasks, measurements, and material usage thoroughly.
• Uphold safety standards and sustain a clean, organized work area.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education in tool/die making preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a Tool Die Maker or comparable role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of machining processes and tooling materials.
• Fluent in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with CAD and other design tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communicator with a positive, proactive attitude.
