Political Science Office Work Study

Position Office assistant for the Political Science Department – Lippman Hall 112. This position is only available to students who qualify for Work‑Study. Supervised by Bella Rodriguez. Hours and Compensation Hours/Shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:30–4:30. Pay: $9.70 per hour. Positions available: 1. Responsibilities Provide clerical support to the administrative assistant and department faculty. Assist with copying, scanning, receiving, and sorting mail. Create social media posts and marketing materials to advertise department courses and events, and post materials around campus. Answer questions from office visitors. Conduct tasks in a timely and efficient manner with and without supervision. Qualifications Current Union College student. Basic knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google applications. Knowledge of Canva or Adobe Express (or other applications) to create social media posts and flyers. Strong communication skills. Adaptability to changing demands based on office traffic. Location Schenectady, NY.
