Details Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 1900-0730 Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need Floating required as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WI RN or compact RN license required BLS certification required (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in med/surg specialty Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, covering adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and phlebotomy Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and rapid response/code team protocols Experience with wound care, isolation precautions/PPE, and IV insulin protocols Experience with gastrointestinal and genitourinary care including ostomy management and bladder irrigation Additional Information Provide direct patient care to med/surg and telemetry patients, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and substance withdrawal needs Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted First-time travelers with 3 years of recent inpatient med/surg experience will be considered Free onsite parking available American Traveler Job ID P-757426.
