Position: HR Specialist Location: Stanley, VA Job Id: 103 # of Openings: 1 Join our team as an HR Specialist supporting two incredible National Park destinations, where meaningful work, breathtaking surroundings, and a people-first culture come together. Work on site at Shenandoah National Park, focusing on seasonal recruiting and talent acquisition while supporting HR operations across two truly remarkable locations. Some Responsibilities Include: Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and coordinate job postings across appropriate recruiting channels. Monitor job boards and ATS for qualified candidates, conduct pre-screen interviews, and coordinate interviews and next steps throughout the recruitment process. Support the HR Manager and site leadership with seasonal recruiting and talent acquisition to ensure timely and effective staffing across multiple sites. Prepare new-hire paperwork and conduct timely, consistent, and professional onboarding. Maintain accurate employee records, files, and reports in accordance with Company policies and applicable systems. Provide HR support to leadership and employees, including employee documentation and day-to-day employee concerns. Ensure accurate timecards and daily tracking of meal and rest breaks in accordance with state laws and Company policy. Support compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local employment laws, regulations, and Company policies. Partner with the Safety Team to ensure workers’ compensation claims are reported in accordance with Company policy and the Incident Reporting Process. Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold the Company’s values of respect, trust, accountability, honesty, and integrity. Support the Company’s ISO management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: 2–3 years of recruiting and HR experience, preferably in a high-volume hospitality environment. Excellent communication, follow-up, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with candidates, employees, and hiring managers. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple recruiting and HR priorities accurately and efficiently. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality. Knowledge of general HR practices and employment compliance requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, hospitality, or a related field preferred; high school diploma required. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM) highly desired.
