Cafeteria Staff

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required: BCI/FBI background check (renewed every five years per ORC 3319.39 and 3319.391); completion of all annual Public School Works training.

Reports To: Food Service Director; Assistant Superintendent; Administrator; or Designee

Work Schedule: 187.5 days; hours per day upon assignment

Salary Schedule: Cleaning/Cafeteria Salary Schedule, Article XXXIII

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly Bargaining Unit: CHASE

Preferred: Experience in food preparation and kitchen work preferred, with willingness to learn and follow food safety procedures.

Duties:

• Ability to maintain a clean kitchen environment and follow sanitation guidelines.
• Team player who works well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform basic kitchen tasks throughout the shift.
• Friendly, customer-focused attitude when serving food and interacting with customers.
• Reliable attendance and punctual arrival for scheduled shifts.
• Completion of all required trainings and certifications.
