Managing the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies. Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.Follow all applicable procedures, Standardized Work, Control Plans, and Product Specifications.Assist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics.Learn, understand and implement AMS and continuous improvement concepts.Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.Follow defined clean-up times.Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.Work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work.Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required.Participate in defining and improving standard workIdentify problems; communicate issues to WC Leads and Supervisors.Understand and use problem solving tools to improve SQDC.Assist with training co-workers.Support a respectful workplace.Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.May or may not operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) based on operations/department need.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:High school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic computer skills.Ability to meet physical requirements, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations.Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.Dependability/punctuality.Have a basic understanding of Window and Door manufacturing requirementsPHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Tier IIIAbility to safely lift and carry up to 60 poundsAbility to safely push and/or pull up to 98 pounds of forceClimb stairs/steps at willObtain a variety of positions such as stooping, reaching, twisting etc.Ability to grasp and pinch frequently throughout the dayWork around and near moving equipment and machineryPAY RANGE:$17.80 - $26.11CULTURE AND BENEFITS:At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
