A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a contract assignment to cover maternity leave across two elementary school settings. This full-time role supports students with varying abilities, fostering their academic achievement and independence in a dynamic school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina
• Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly preferred
• Strong collaboration skills for teaming with educators, families, and other specialists
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities
• Commitment to developing and implementing individualized intervention plans

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services as outlined in student IEPs or 504 plans
• Evaluate students’ needs and progress, documenting outcomes and updating plans as needed
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster optimal learning environments and provide strategies for classroom participation
• Consult with families regarding therapy strategies for home use
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as district guidelines
• Provide detailed progress reports and attend relevant IEP meetings

Assignment Details:

• Approximate dates: December 14th, 2026 – March 15th, 2027 (subject to change)
• Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
• Two site locations: split between Summit Drive Elementary and Reedy Laurel Elementary, with a caseload of about 60 students
