Pet Supplies Plus Shift Manager

SUMMARY

To assist the Pet Supply Plus Store Director in establishing and maintain excellent customer service accountability for the operation of the store insuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising inventory expense control Human Resources Management and managing operating costs and shrinkage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drives store sales by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged customer projects needs are met and concerns are resolved quickly
• Assists in managing total store operations
• Processes information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
• Assists with stocking of pet supplies deliveries and back stock including building and filling displays
• Assists in keeping backroom neat and up to best practices standards
• Assists in handling Associate issues
• Assist in handling customer issues
• Assist with general care of animals
• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed by all Associates.
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages 3-4 Associates in the store.
• Provides direction coordination and evaluation of the store and Associates.
• Follows NFI policies and applicable federal state and local laws.
• Assign and direct work
• Address complaints and resolves problems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Possess product knowledge of pets and pet related products

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Present information and respond to questions from groups of customers or associates

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic math concepts (addition subtraction division multiplication)

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

• Some locations may require Power Industrial Truck Certification

PAY RANGE (depends on industry experience)

Min. Wage up to $18/hour (IL Locations Only)

Starting pay will be based on experience internal equity and scope of responsibility.
