Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans designed to tackle both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on aspects such as communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to reinforce progress in their everyday lives.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the therapeutic experience.
• Uphold meticulous, timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Enhance your expertise by remaining up-to-date with advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.
