LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Dermatology

Job Duties Provide primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition; follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record. Document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations. Provide direct clinical care as directed by provider. Assist provider in performing minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency. Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to provider, respond to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely responses to patient needs. Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a provider and within scope of practice. Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient. This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; days are scheduled as per clinic needs.
