Learn more about who we are at Point32Health.Job SummaryThis position reports directly to the Vice President and Corporate Controller of Finance and will be responsible for managing and overseeing the monthly close cycle, internal and external financial reporting (GAAP/NAIC SSAP), financial regulatory compliance and filings, Federal and State tax, audit coordination, internal controls over financial reporting and technical accounting policy development.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing (top five)Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes and related accounting staff for multiple health plans and insurance companiesWork with Controller to ensure the timely publication of the monthly financial statements, including consolidated and segment results, and report on operations variances to the annual plan and reforecastsWorks with Corporate Controller and CAO in establishing and maintaining technical accounting policies and related documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and NAIC SSAP and reporting requirements (including Model Audit Rule)Prepares special reports, as needed, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Helps to facilitate internal and annual external year-end audit process with the external auditorsQualifications – what you need to perform the jobCertification and LicensureCPA PreferredEducationRequired (minimum): BS in Finance or AccountingPreferred MBA or MSAExperienceRequired (minimum): 15+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience for a major managed care or insurance company or division of a large managed care or insurance corporationAt least 5 years of public accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and NAIC SSAP principles including consolidation and equity method accountingExperience in implementing new accounting pronouncements and guidance and technical accounting researchProven track record of adding value to company financial processes and capabilities (e.g. enhancing the timeliness, accuracy and relevance of financial information, etc.)Skill RequirementsExperience with administering accounting/general ledger applicationsExperience managing large teamsDemonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high performing teamsAbility to work collaboratively across departmental functionAbility to work independently and in collaboration with othersSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenFlexible team player with the highest integrity and ethical standardsMay require travel, as needed, for partnership and customer meetingsWorking Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.Salary Range$213,605.60 -$320,408.40Compensation & Total Rewards OverviewThe annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity.
