Advanced Medical Assistant (MA) - Occupational Health

Job Summary: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate clinical support in an occupational health setting. This role involves assisting with patient care management and ensuring smooth healthcare delivery tailored to the needs of the practice. Essential Responsibilities:
Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required. Work Shift: First shift in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
- Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.
- Coordinate efficient healthcare services during patient visits, including updating and maintaining accurate medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and relevant health history, and communicate abnormal findings to physicians.
- Support physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management. Facilitate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain clinical areas by ensuring supplies, equipment, and patient education materials are well-stocked and organized. Uphold cleanliness and sterilization protocols for instruments and exam rooms.
- Perform laboratory tests and assist with documentation and billing processes as required.
