Inventory Specialist

Description Our Architectural Facade Solutions division provides exterior wall panel and other building envelope systems in a variety of product and installation options. We create custom facade systems for all needs in commercial construction. We also create precision parts and weldments through our Processing Division. The Inventory Specialist role is a key part of the Production team; responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, leading material handlers, supporting material flow to production, and ensuring materials are received, stored, issued, audited, and reported correctly. Responsibilities Lead, train, and coordinate material handlers to support daily shop priorities Work directly with production, the master scheduler, purchasing, and the operations team to ensure material availability Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system for sheet goods, extrusions, hardware, fabricated parts, consumables, and WIP Receive, issue, transfer, and adjust inventory using proper ERP transactions and approved processes Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits for all inventoried items Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with the appropriate team members to correct root causes Maintain bin locations, material identification, min/max levels, and item information as directed Monitor incoming materials, production shortages, and job staging requirements Coordinate movement of raw material, fabricated parts, and finished goods throughout the shop Use Excel to build and maintain inventory reports, shortage lists, count sheets, and tracking logs Communicate shortages, overages, damaged material, and schedule risks in a timely manner Requirements High School Diploma - Required Associate or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field - Preferred Minimum 2 - 5 years inventory, warehouse, or material handling experience in manufacturing - Required #J-18808-Ljbffr JOHN W MCDOUGALL CO INC
