Posting Position Information Position Title: Position Title: [WorkStudy] Office Aide Department Department Student Life and Leadership Location Location Albany Campus, Albany, OR Salary Grade Salary Grade 10 Salary Rate $15.13 per hour Job Summary: This position performs a variety of administrative office duties. General receptionist/clerical duties including but not limited to: Telephone-direct calls and taking messages information resources & referral for staff, students & community members. Some computer word processing, typing, and filing. Available hours fall between 9am-4pm Mon-Fri. May be asked to work remotely if college is limiting in person contact. In those situations would be doing student outreach, assisting with social media, and data entry. Tools of the job may include Multi-line phone, computer, copy machine, poster maker. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: May occasional lift light to medium weight items, with or without assistance. Work is performed indoors with no exposure to safety and health hazards. Considerable time may be spent working at a computer. Must be able to operate a computer and/or other office equipment. Work is performed indoors with no exposure to safety and health hazards. Education and Experience Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC , maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA ), and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn-Benton Community College Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, and email. Ability to communicate professionally with a variety of people. Self-motivated, able to work cooperatively and independently with attention to detail, and accuracy. Must be able to communicate with faculty, staff and students, work well independently and with others. Ability to interact sensitively and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
