About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with job.com to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Tyler, Texas, 75701!

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients on a MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
• Manage patient loads of 1:4 ratios on days, nights, and weekends.
• Perform IV starts, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and pediatric dosage calculations.
• Monitor telemetry (remote and unit-based) and recognize early warning signs using PEWS.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.
• Work every other weekend; 36 hours of non-billable orientation provided.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of recent pediatric RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Epic charting experience
• Charge experience required
• BLS
• PALS
• NIHSS (if required by unit protocol)
