Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Minimum 10-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a Level I Trauma, acute care, teaching, and children's hospital environment
• Perform circulator duties in the operating room at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and patient charting
• Fulfill on-call requirements consisting of approximately 24–36 hours per month as directed by OR leadership
• Work 2–3 weekend shifts per month as required
• Participate in required holiday coverage, working 2 out of 3 designated holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Demonstrated Level I Trauma experience
• Circulator experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local candidates only; non-local driver's license required on file)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience in high-acuity or teaching hospital environments
