Glazier Apprentice

Job Purpose The Glazier Apprentice at BLAKLEY CORP will embark on a comprehensive training journey to develop the skills necessary to excel in the glazing trade. As a union glazing apprentice, you will gain hands‑on experience and knowledge in the installation, repair, and maintenance of glass and glazing systems. This role is designed for individuals with a high school education and a background in construction helper experience, aiming to build a career in the glazing industry. Key Responsibilities Assist experienced glaziers in the installation of glass, mirrors, and other glazing materials in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Develop proficiency in the use of tools and equipment specific to the glazing trade. Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge. Support the team in measuring, cutting, and fitting glass and glazing materials accurately. Contribute to maintaining clean and organized workspaces and equipment. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and to specifications. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the glazing industry.
