Quality Technician

Quality TechnicianOur client, a global provider of electronic design and test solutions, is looking for a Quality Technician for their Colorado Springs, CO location. Responsibilities include mechanical inspection of precision machined components, use of CMM (optical and touch probe), interferometry, laser micrometer, and other advanced metrology equipment, calibrations of metrology equipment, and CAPA corrective and preventive action support in relation to NCR (non-conformance reports) with thorough documentation. Other duties as assigned.Requirements include excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpreting specifications including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), work experience in a QC and manufacturing environment is essential. Preferred: lean, corrective and preventive action, root cause investigation, Kaizen (continuous improvement-PDCA) knowledge and understanding. Preferred: ISO 9001, AS9100, and/or FDA certifications. Experience with any/all the following is highly desired: advanced metrology, programmable optical measurement tools (optical CMM), Keyence image measurement system, interferometers used for surface finish and form analysis, laser micrometer. Education: university degree, specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Why should you apply?
