Saratoga Medical is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in South Carolina .

General Nature of Work

• Under general supervision, assists in a variety of paraprofessional nursing tasks within an institutional healthcare setting. This position is intended for inpatient environments involving high-risk and high-acuity patients.
• Employees in this role work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), licensed physician, or other authorized healthcare practitioner in accordance with South Carolina law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care and patient support
• Monitor and observe patient conditions
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records
• Assist with medication administration and nursing procedures
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and patients
• Follow institutional policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
• Assist in emergency response situations when required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of practical nursing procedures and human anatomy
• Strong observation and attention-to-detail skills
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to maintain accurate patient documentation
• Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare regulations
• Ability to lift and move patients when necessary

Special Requirements:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license through the South Carolina State Board of Nursing
• CPR/BLS certification may be required
• Some positions may require a valid driver’s license

• McCormick Correctional Institution - Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM & Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Ridgeland Correctional Institution - Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Turbeville Correctional Institution - Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Broad River Correctional Institution - Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
