Outbound Warehouse Auditor
$23.00 Per Hour
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Onsite, Columbus, Ohio 43230

4-Week Trial Period with Opportunity for Hire-On

What You'll Be Doing:

• Audit picked and staged outbound orders against pick tickets and order paperwork before shipment, verifying items, quantities, lots, dates, and load cone assignments.

• Verify packaging, labeling, carrier information, and shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness.

• Place orders on hold when accuracy requirements are not met and notify the appropriate supervisor until issues are resolved.

• Audit racks, bins, and staging areas using RF scanners to compare physical inventory against the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

• Verify product quantities, lot numbers, dates, double-deep locations, FIFO/date order, pallet condition, and labeling.

• Confirm inventory is stored in the correct system-designated locations and that scans, movements, picks, and receipts are recorded accurately.

• Document and report discrepancies involving orders, bins, and racks, including locations, items, lots, and expected versus actual quantities.

• Escalate discrepancies to supervisors or Inventory Control rather than making inventory corrections independently.

• Track recurring errors and trends and recommend corrective actions to prevent repeat issues.

• Follow standard operating procedures, scanning requirements, PPE guidelines, and safety procedures when working around powered equipment and in racking aisles.

• Maintain accurate audit records, work independently, and manage daily responsibilities without direct supervision.

Who We're Looking For:

• Reliable attendance and punctuality with a verifiable history of both.

• Trustworthy and self-directed, with the ability to work productively without direct supervision.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to 100% accuracy in outbound orders and inventory.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Experience using RF scanners and working knowledge of WMS systems.

• Ability to clearly document, report, and follow up on discrepancies.

• Willingness to complete required equipment training and certifications.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift.

• Double reach stand-up forklift experience preferred.

• Five or more years of warehouse operations experience preferred.

• Previous experience in auditing, quality control, cycle counting, or inventory control preferred.

• Working knowledge of inbound receiving and outbound shipping processes preferred.

• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining accurate inventory records.
