As a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our residents at The Orchards at Northwest. Pay starts at $28.00 per hour and increases based on experience.

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will assist licensed physical therapists in performing a variety of tasks, including conducting patient assessments, implementing treatment plans, and providing rehabilitation exercises and activities. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that our residents receive comprehensive care that meets their unique needs and goals.

Responsibilities:
• Assist physical therapists in conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions
• Provide rehabilitation exercises and activities to patients, including stretching, strengthening, and flexibility exercises
• Use various modalities and equipment, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of a physical therapist
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide updates on patient progress and address concerns
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction

Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Michigan
• 0 years of experience (recent graduates welcome to apply!)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
