Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Recruiter / HR Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Jacksonville, FL. This role is a great fit for someone with recruiting experience or a strong customer service background who is ready to grow into a career in recruiting and human resources.

The Recruiter / HR Coordinator will support full-cycle hiring for a high-volume call center environment while also assisting with core HR coordination duties. This position offers comprehensive training, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to build valuable experience across recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee support, and HR reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and compliance support.
- Coordinate job postings, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, employment offers, and candidate follow-up.
- Conduct employment, education, and reference verifications, complete I-9 documentation, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Support onboarding, orientation, benefits administration, HR inquiries, and employee recordkeeping.
- Prepare weekly and monthly recruiting and HR reports for management review.
- Assist with exit interviews, FMLA, ADA, leave of absence processes, and other HR initiatives as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Jacksonville, FL.
- Work Arrangement: Onsite for the first 6 months, with potential opportunity for remote work based on performance and achievement of key metrics.
- Training: Comprehensive training provided, with an initial training period of approximately 3 or more weeks before fully transitioning into the role.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage high-volume recruiting for call center positions from sourcing through onboarding.
- Coordinate candidate communication, interview scheduling, offers, and pre-employment verification processes.
- Support HR administration, employee records, reporting, benefits coordination, and compliance tasks.
- Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions, requests, and process support.

- 1 or more years of recruiting experience in an agency or corporate environment preferred.
- Strong customer service experience with an interest in recruiting and human resources will be considered.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and candidate engagement skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, complex, and emotional situations professionally and confidentially.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville, FL during the initial 6-month period.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with HRIS systems.
- Prior experience supporting recruiting for call center, customer service, or high-volume hourly roles.
- Familiarity with onboarding, I-9 verification, employee records, benefits administration, or leave of absence processes.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in recruiting, human resources, or talent acquisition.
