Body Technician

Job TitleA body repair technician is able to repair vehicle bodies and straighten vehicle frames.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThoroughly examine the vehicle damagesReturn the vehicle back to factory specificationsRemove vehicle trim to gain access to vehicle bodyCan properly fill depressions with body filler and insure a quality repairAble to remove damaged parts using power tools and cutting torchBolt or weld replacement parts in position using power tools and welding equipmentStraighten bent automobile frames using frame wrackFile, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand toolsAim headlightsReplace bolts on panels and align properlyMake cosmetic repairsPerform other duties as assigned by managementUse special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specificationsAble to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each jobQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.1-4 years body shop experience strongly preferred.Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.Excellent problem-solving skills required.Customer FocusOrganizationEnergy LevelPersistenceProduct KnowledgePhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
