Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the entire recruiting process to attract, source, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates who align with the organization's culture and business needs. Develops and maintains a strong partnership with managers to develop recruitment strategies and deliver an exceptional candidate experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal procedures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process. Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Understands the culture and positions of Hummel Group and accurately articulates them to candidates. Partners with the Marketing department to develop campaigns, job postings, and advertisement processes. Maintains accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Screens resumes and conducts phone/video interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit. Schedules and participates in interviews; oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions. Develops relationships with colleges, universities, and high schools to utilize them as candidate pipelines and build community connections. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Excellent knowledge of the human resources arena. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong negotiation tactics. Ability to ask difficult questions. Ability to build sourcing strategies, programs, processes, procedures, and facilitation methods. Strong problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to present to groups for training and recruitment purposes. Ability to learn and perform new duties and responsibilities. Proactive and independent, with the ability to take initiative. Working knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to travel off-site and to other offices as needed. Education/Experience Bachelor's or associate degree is required. At least two years of experience managing a recruitment or hiring process is preferred. Must have a current driver's license and an insurable driving record. Must be working toward industry designations within two years of employment (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR). Working Environment/Physical Activities General office work environment. Ability to drive to other office locations and professional events off-site. A remote worksite is available with advance arrangements and approval from Leadership. Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers. Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time; reach with arms and hands; stand; walk; stoop; talk; and hear.
