The Production Assistant/A/V Tech plays a vital role in supporting a medium-sized production team by handling camera operations, on-location shoots, and audio/visual equipment setup. This full-time position involves working both in-studio and on location at events such as theatre and dance productions, youth conventions, and commercial conventions. The role requires physical capability to manage equipment and a willingness to relocate to Brainerd, MN, with seasonal travel for events. Training is provided to enhance skills and support career growth within the production team reporting to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate cameras for local and on-location shoots
- Setup and breakdown audio/visual equipment at events
- Assist with equipment and facility maintenance
- Handle physical equipment safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Collaborate with the production team during projects
- Support in-studio video editing and graphic design tasks
- Travel seasonally to various event locations
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in audio/video production
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with camera operation
- Experience with PC and Mac operating systems
- Proficiency in audio/visual equipment setup
- Strong team collaboration skills
