Summary This is a fully onsite role that reports to our office in Fort Worth, TX. You will spend a significant portion of your time meeting clients and prospects in the field. Administrative and team collaboration tasks will take place at our office, while your primary focus will be building relationships and driving revenue through in‑person interactions. Your role as a Strategic Growth Manager is to drive net‑new revenue by bringing top‑producing agents to Compass. You will influence independent contractors to move to Compass by effectively selling our technology, marketing, culture, and growth. You will work directly with decision‑makers, eliminating many of the hassles of selling to large corporations. Metrics Quota‑carrying role: your quarterly target is measured by the number of principal agents successfully onboarded. Deal size ranges from $200k to $3M+, with an average close time of about 30 days. Quota is reached by bringing on individual agents or large teams; it is based on the prior 12‑month performance and is not contingent upon future production. You are tasked with helping agents understand how their business and clients will benefit by moving to Compass. Nuances This sales process is more humanized: you deal directly with decision makers, requiring patience, listening, agility, and focus to close deals quickly. Success requires a high IQ and EQ; the team includes professionals from investment banking, consulting, law, and enterprise sales. SGMs generate 15× more revenue per head than the top tech firms. Qualifications B.A. or B.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong interpersonal skills and a glass‑half‑full mentality. Self‑starter who can exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead client meetings and presentations. Highly organized, able to multi‑task and meet multiple deadlines. Track record of excellence in strategic, operational, and detail‑heavy responsibilities.
