Overview Health and Safety Manager (HB3609671) North East England, England Salary: GBP50000 - GBP55000 per annum Are you a Health & Safety professional who prefers being out on the shop floor rather than sat behind a desk all day? We\'re recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in the North East. This is a hands-on role where you\'ll work closely with managers and production teams to improve safety standards, reduce risk, drive environmental initiatives and create a positive safety culture across site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership, influence change and play a key role in a busy manufacturing environment. What You\'ll Be Doing Carrying out risk assessments and safety inspections Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses Supporting and improving Health, Safety & Environmental systems Delivering safety training and toolbox talks Leading and supporting internal audits Working closely with operational teams to improve standards Driving positive safety behaviours across site Monitoring environmental performance and compliance Ensuring legal and company compliance requirements are met What We\'re Looking For Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing, FMCG, production or a similar environment NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation Experience conducting risk assessments and investigations Comfortable building relationships across all levels of a business Confident communicator who can challenge when required A proactive and practical approach to Health & Safety What\'s On Offer Monday-Friday days role with early finish on Fridays Life assurance Enhanced pension Ongoing training and development Career progression opportunities Additional employee benefits and reward schemes If you\'re looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference and be part of a business that values safety, people and continuous improvement, we\'d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
