Senior Credit Analyst

Location: Kansas City Metro Area (Hybrid) Position Summary A growing financial institution is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to support its Commercial Real Estate Lending team. This position will be responsible for underwriting complex commercial real estate and residential construction loan transactions, performing detailed financial analysis, assessing credit risk, and supporting portfolio management activities. Key Responsibilities Analyze and underwrite commercial real estate and construction lending opportunities. Review financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and borrower credit profiles. Evaluate appraisals, market reports, and collateral documentation. Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums and lending recommendations. Perform portfolio monitoring and ongoing credit risk assessment. Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with process improvement initiatives and departmental reporting. Provide guidance and support to junior analysts as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Several years of commercial credit analysis and underwriting experience. Strong knowledge of commercial real estate lending and construction financing. Advanced financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling skills. Ability to assess borrower, collateral, and market risk factors. Strong proficiency with Excel and financial analysis tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
