Business Analyst

Our client is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst to join a Data Visualization team responsible for building and enhancing proprietary applications used by investment management clients. This individual will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and highly technical development teams, helping translate business needs into well-defined requirements and user stories.

This is a highly functional Business Analyst role with limited technical development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile software product environments, strong requirements gathering skills, the ability to write SQL queries for data analysis and validation, and prior exposure to financial services, investment management, banking, or accounting-related systems.

The successful candidate will support a team consisting of Product Owners, Business Analysts, and developers working on homegrown data visualization applications that leverage technologies such as Snowflake, Power BI, and Angular-based web applications.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of Business Analyst working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional documentation.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to:
- Write queries from scratch.
- Perform joins between multiple tables.
- Understand table structures, relationships, and underlying data models.
- Analyze and validate data to support business requirements and testing activities.
- Experience supporting UAT, including test planning, execution, defect management, and manual validation.
- Bachelor's degree
- Industry: Investment management, asset management, wealth management, or banking industry experience.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Exposure to Snowflake and/or Power BI environments.
- Knowledge of accounting systems or financial operations platforms.
- Experience supporting applications focused on data visualization
