Job Description

The team is responsible for protecting the integrity, safety, and trust of the Visa payment ecosystem. The team monitors and enforces risk and compliance programs that identify, investigate, and remediate behaviors that threaten the stability of the network, Visa clients, and end users.

These programs span multiple risk domains, including acquirer and issuer monitoring, fraud and risk compliance, integrity programs, and network risk investigations, and include programs such as Rules Compliance, VAMP, VIMP, FRECOP, VIRP, and related ecosystem risk frameworks. Collectively, these programs ensure that ecosystem participants operate in alignment with Visa Rules, program requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.

 

Role Overview

This individual contributor Senior Consultant role serves as a strategic analytics, intelligence, and program insights leader supporting Visa's ecosystem risk, compliance, and enforcement programs. The role is responsible for transforming complex operational, compliance, and ecosystem risk data into actionable intelligence that informs program strategy, executive decision-making, and enterprise risk management.

The Senior Consultant partners closely with Global Risk, PERC, Rules & Compliance, regional risk teams, Client Services, Product, and executive stakeholders to analyze program performance, identify emerging risks and trends, assess ecosystem impact, and develop strategic recommendations that strengthen Visa's ecosystem protection capabilities. The role serves as a central point for program intelligence, consolidating insights across multiple compliance and risk initiatives to provide leadership with a comprehensive view of key risks, enforcement outcomes, industry developments, and program effectiveness.

Through advanced analytics, reporting, and business intelligence, the Senior Consultant develops executive-level materials, dashboards, performance metrics, and strategic assessments that support prioritization, investment decisions, operational planning, and risk mitigation strategies. The role also leads executive forums, governance reviews, leadership updates, and stakeholder communications related to ecosystem risk programs, ensuring leaders have timely and actionable insights into the health, effectiveness, and impact of critical compliance and risk initiatives.

Operating with significant independence, the Senior Consultant influences strategic decisions through data-driven insights, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement while helping drive continuous improvement across Visa's ecosystem risk and compliance programs

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership by providing analytics, intelligence, and insights on ecosystem risk, compliance, and enforcement programs.
• Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics that measure program effectiveness, business impact, risk reduction, and operational outcomes.
• Analyze compliance trends, enforcement outcomes, risk indicators, industry developments, and emerging threats to identify opportunities, vulnerabilities, and strategic priorities.
• Lead the development of executive briefing materials, governance presentations, business reviews, and strategic updates for senior leadership forums.
• Facilitate and manage recurring executive reviews, operating forums, and governance discussions related to ecosystem risk, compliance, and enforcement programs.
• Translate complex operational, regulatory, and risk data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with program owners and regional teams to assess program health, measure business value, identify performance gaps, and recommend enhancements.
• Develop forecasting, capacity, investment, and business impact analyses to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and annual operating plan activities.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives that improve reporting, analytics, metrics, and business intelligence capabilities across ecosystem risk programs.
• Consolidate intelligence across multiple risk, compliance, and enforcement programs to provide leadership with a holistic view of ecosystem threats, trends, and strategic opportunities.
• Support the development of program strategies, executive communications, business cases, and investment proposals through data-driven analysis and recommendations.
• Mentor team members and provide subject matter expertise on analytics, reporting, metrics development, and ecosystem risk intelligence.

This role is a Hybrid position to be based in our Atlanta, GA office location with expectations of being in office 3 days per week

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• 7+ years of experience in payments, financial services, banking, risk management, compliance, analytics, consulting, business intelligence, audit, or a related field.
• Strong experience utilizing data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making, business planning, risk management, or operational improvement.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience synthesizing large and complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Experience developing executive presentations, dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and strategic reporting for senior leadership audiences.
• Ability to communicate complex business, compliance, operational, and risk concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across global and cross-functional organizations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Fluency in English required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Experience supporting risk, compliance, enforcement, investigations, or ecosystem protection programs within the payments industry.
• Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including card payments, ACH, push payments, network rules, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience developing executive communications for leadership teams, governance forums, or risk committees.
• Strong business intelligence and data visualization experience utilizing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Experience building business cases, investment analyses, capacity models, forecasting models, and strategic planning materials.
• Visa experience or experience with a payment network, financial institution, regulatory body, or consulting organization.
• Strong understanding of emerging payment industry risks, regulatory developments, fraud trends, and ecosystem risk management practices.
• Additional language capabilities and international business experience are a plus.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $130,600.00 to $ 209,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
