Job Summary The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and administrative execution of construction projects. This role assists with documentation, scheduling support, cost tracking, and communication between the field, designers, subcontractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities Support Project Financial performance Manage Project Documentation & Workflow Support Schedule & Coordination Efforts Competencies: Documentation control: Prepares, tracks, and maintains documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up. Buyout/coordination support: Supports buyout efforts by assembling scopes, tracking vendor responses, and confirming alignment. Change Order management support: Prepares and tracks change order documentation and supports backup collection. Schedule support: Tracks look‑aheads, constraints, and action items and follows up to closure. Cost awareness: Supports cost tracking, commitment logs, and forecast data accuracy. Coordination: Supports coordination through meeting follow-ups, documentation, and communication. Budget discipline resource planning: Tracks resource needs and supports budget-related coordination Skills: High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Strong follow-through and time management Professional communication with project stakeholders Ability to identify and elevate risks proactively Growth-oriented and team-support mindset RFI, submittal, and change order tracking Commitment log and cost tracking support Schedule look‑ahead and milestone monitoring Subcontract administration and buyout support Proficiency in Procore, Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam Software: MS EXCEL TIMBERSCAN P6 MS PROJECT SHAREPOINT MS TEAMS PROCORE BLUEBEAM Responsibilities: Take ownership of assigned scopes or project phases, ensuring timely execution of milestones and deliverables. Support budget management, forecasting, cost tracking, buyout, and AP/AR coordination. Coordinate subcontractors, procurement, contract administration, and change order processes. Monitor risks, cost impacts, and schedule performance to protect project margin. Assist with schedule updates, look‑ahead planning, and field–office coordination. Interface with owners, architects, and consultants; lead portions of OAC and internal meetings. Maintain accurate project documentation and records (RFIs, submittals, change logs, contracts) in designated systems. Mentor and support Project Expeditors.
