Operations Supervisor

Operations Supervisor – Warehouse Distribution Center Responsibilities Oversee daily inbound and outbound operations, manage inventory, and ensure quality control. Lead, train, and evaluate a team of union members. Motivate direct reports through effective communication, coaching, and recognition. Identify opportunities for improvement using tools such as layered audits. Achieve safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost key performance indicators. Cultivate a safety culture and enforce workplace safety rules and policies. Implement Lean and GMS principles and model GM’s cultural behaviors. Maintain good working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management. Evaluate team performance and promote continuous improvement. Conduct administrative tasks such as timekeeping, and maintain departmental records and reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift as determined by business needs. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends. Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze data. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Previous supervisory experience in a union environment (3‑5 years). Experience supervising employees in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics settings. Additional Information Work hours: 1st or 2nd shift; overtime required as needed. The role is onsite and does not qualify for relocation benefits.
