Description
- Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, creating tailored treatment plans
- Implement physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability
- Work alongside nurses, doctors, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to elevate patient outcomes
- Instruct patients and their families regarding therapeutic goals, home exercise protocols, and discharge plans
- Keep thorough documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress while adhering to legal and facility regulations
- Engage in collaborative care rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure seamless care delivery
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from a recognized institution
Certifications
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist is required
- CPR certification preferred
- Any extra specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable
