Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will perform echocardiograms on pediatric and infant patients requiring cardiac imaging, including those with congenital anomalies and varying levels of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality echocardiograms and accurately assess cardiac structures and functions in pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide essential cardiac imaging services.
- Maintain equipment and ensure its proper operation.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in weekend on-call duties as needed, providing coverage once per month.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Current ARdns RDCS PE certification and BLS certification are required.
- Experience with GE and Philips echocardiography systems preferred.
Schedule
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
- Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- On-call duties required one weekend per month, with weekday on-call hours from 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
Additional Information
- Average volume of 6-8 exams per day.
- Staffing ratio: 1:4 during daytime hours on weekdays; 1:1 during nights and weekends.
- Scrub color: Navy Blue.
- Holidays and floating within the department may be required as scheduled.
