Data Architect with AWS

Job Title

Design and implement scalable application-centric data architectures in AWS and Azure environments.

Architect and optimize enterprise Data Lake / Lakehouse solutions (in-house implementation is mandatory).

Define data models, metadata management, and data integration strategies.

Build and manage cloud-native data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

Collaborate with application development teams to ensure data architecture aligns with business requirements.

Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, and regulatory standards (banking/financial domain preferred).

Provide architectural guidance for cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Perform performance tuning and optimization of data platforms.

Work closely with DevOps and Cloud teams for CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of overall IT experience.

Strong hands-on experience as an Application Data Architect.

Deep expertise in AWS services such as:

• S3
• Redshift
• Glue
• EMR
• Lambda
• RDS

Working experience with Microsoft Azure data services.

Proven experience designing and implementing Enterprise Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture (in-house lake is mandatory).

Strong experience in:

• Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)
• ETL/ELT frameworks
• Data Pipelines
• API-based integrations

Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.

Experience working in banking or financial services domain is a plus.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hybrid cloud architecture (AWS + Azure).

Knowledge of modern data frameworks (Spark, Databricks, etc.).

Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
