Senior Software Engineer C#/.NET

Salary: $120,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require strong C#/.NET development skills, including .NET Framework 4.8+ and WinForms experience.
• We look for 8+ years of software development experience, ideally with senior or lead-level responsibility.
• We need hands-on experience with custom 2D/3D rendering using DirectX, OpenGL, or a similar graphics API.
• We expect a solid background in vector and raster display technologies, ideally including mapping, GIS, CAD, or geospatial visualization layers.
• We value strong knowledge of geometry and linear algebra as applied to graphics or GIS, including projections, transformations, and spatial indexing.
• We require experience with Git, branching workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
• We need the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• We prefer familiarity with GDAL, SlimDX, or SharpDX.
• We look for strong debugging skills with Visual Studio, VS Code, and other diagnostic tools.
• We prefer GIS knowledge, including coordinate reference systems, map projections, spatial databases, and geoprocessing.
• We value familiarity with ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, Civil3D, or OpenRoads.
• We prefer experience with C++ and basic knowledge of H&H modeling or water resources engineering.
• We also welcome experience using large language models such as Claude or similar AI tools to support development, analysis, and workflow automation.
• We require a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• We require authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; we cannot sponsor or transfer employment visas.
• We prefer candidates who can commute to our Winter Springs, FL location and work in person.

• We want you to own and advance our geospatial rendering engine and cartographic display layer.
• You will build, maintain, and improve drawing and editing tools used to create, adjust, and review hydraulic and hydrologic model geometry on the map.
• You will implement and tune 2D/3D rendering pipelines using DirectX for raster tiles, vector overlays, TINs, and contour surfaces.
• You will design computational geometry algorithms for polygon intersection, triangulation, coordinate conversion, and surface interpolation.
• You will integrate geospatial data formats and coordinate systems such as shapefiles, geodatabases, and raster files.
• You will work directly with subject-matter experts to refine our existing codebase and deliver new features and enhancements.
• You will take part in code reviews, technical documentation, unit testing, and ongoing engineering improvement.
• You will mentor junior team members and help guide the technical direction of our platform.
• You will begin by learning and supporting the architecture of our existing desktop application before expanding into optimization and feature development.
