- Early Swing: 10:00a – 10:00p

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adult inpatient population

• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 20–30 patients daily across the service

• Admissions: Yes

• Rounding: Included

• Case Mix: General Hospitalist admissions and cross coverage

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 270 beds

• Trauma Level: Adult Level I-IV

• EMR System: Cerner

• Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient hospital equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: Intensivist coverage for ICU admissions

• Support Staff Available: Dual physician overnight coverage and hospital clinical staff

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 2–3 weeks

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Inpatient admissions

• Cross coverage for hospitalized patients

• Acute inpatient medical management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active Arizona Medical License or IMLC LOQ in hand required

• BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required

• Active DEA required

• ACLS required

• Minimum 2 years of Hospitalist experience required

• Cerner experience preferred

• Drive-in candidates only

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient Hospitalist coverage for admissions and cross coverage

• Manage hospitalized patients in a closed ICU environment

• Collaborate with intensivists for ICU admissions

• Document patient encounters accurately within Cerner EMR

• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary hospital teams
