# Public Service OfficerTomball, TX 77375## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Public Service Officer (Jailer)The City of Tomball will be accepting applications for a **Public Service Officer (Jailer).** This role will be Responsible for the efficient operation of the Holding Facility (jail) and offering comprehensive support in evidence management, crime scene investigation, and various administrative tasks. Requires a strong grasp of procedural compliance, ensuring the preservation and integrity of evidence, as well as seamless collaboration with both police personnel and external entities like the District Attorney's office.**Reports To** Captain**Positions Supervised**None**Public Service Officer / Jailer** **functions** **include but are not limited to the following.*** **Holding Facility Management:** Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the department's jail. Assist police personnel with fingerprints, data collection, and distribution. Undertake specialty projects and programs specific to the facility.* **Administrative Duties:**Complete cross-trained tasks and cover for peers during absences.
