Personal Injury/Survivor Advocacy Litigation Legal Assistant- (Chicago)

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and other parties to gather information and provide updates.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, imaging, bills, and other materials.
• Assist with the drafting and review of legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and case management orders.
• Electronically file legal documents.
• Schedule and support attorney with preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials, including sending out notices, hiring court reporters/videographers, etc.
• Correspond effectively with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients.
• Provide support during legal proceedings, including coordinating case schedules, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a litigation paralegal in a personal injury environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with discovery in personal injury cases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
• Spanish a plus.
