The Home Manager is responsible for leading a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), maintaining a survey-ready home, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting positive outcomes for the people we support.

Position Summary
The Home Manager oversees the daily operations of a residential home serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies, Tennessee state regulations, DDA requirements, and quality assurance standards while providing leadership, training, and support to Direct Support Professionals.
The Home Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and audit-ready environment, supporting staff development, monitoring documentation, and ensuring continuity of care through effective staffing management.

What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality, person-centered support.
- Oversee staff onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
- Review documentation and conduct audits to ensure compliance with agency policies, DDA standards, state regulations, and quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and survey-ready home environment through routine inspections, fire drills, emergency preparedness activities, and risk management.
- Monitor training requirements, certifications, and competency records to ensure staff remain qualified and prepared.
- Facilitate team meetings, promote effective communication, and provide timely coaching, recognition, and corrective action when needed.
- Manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage to meet the needs of individuals supported.
- Personally cover shifts when staff absences occur to ensure the safety and continuity of care.
- Coordinate coverage for all call-outs and staffing shortages to maintain required supervision and support levels.
- Maintain 24/7 cell phone accessibility and provide emergency coverage at the direction of management.
What a Typical Day May Look Like
No two days are exactly alike, but a typical day may include:
- Reviewing staff documentation and ensuring compliance standards are met
- Conducting staff coaching, onboarding, or training sessions
- Completing home inspections and safety checks
- Auditing records and preparing for regulatory reviews
- Meeting with DSPs to discuss individual support needs
- Addressing staffing challenges and scheduling coverage
- Supporting individuals receiving services as needed
- Leading team meetings and recognizing employee achievements

- Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage as needed
- Ability to complete required training and obtain Medication Administration Certification within 90 days
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
