Job Summary and Responsibilities Certified Medical Assistants are essential to delivering whole person care to our patients. We offer a Medical Assistant Clinical Ladder to support growth and development within our connected system. Our Medical Assistants are highly-valued team members with an important voice in this organization. In partnership with clinic staff and operations, they create a structured approach to a more effective, efficient work day with appropriate workloads and a clearer path for professional development. In addition, we have established one of the first-ever MA Apprenticeship programs with an accredited local college to educate and prepare future MAs for success. Key Responsibilities This position assumes a supportive role and has responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote the optimal health, well‑being, and safety of the patient in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the delegation of medical services as defined by the State Medical Practice Act. You may perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized health care provider in accordance with our Physician Group Scope of Practice. You may also assist with front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments. MAs are responsible for accurate chart documentation and medical record maintenance. You will also attend or conduct in‑service presentations and seminars to facilitate personal and professional growth and demonstrate personal accountability for relationship‑based care, organizational mission, and core values. Certifications Required This position requires certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following recognized certifying bodies: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA) American Medical Technologist (AMT) National Healthcare Association (NHA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Job Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D., required Medical Assistant certification or registration from an approved organization, required Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association, required Physical Requirements Medium Work – Exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly. Location Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center that provides a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region. The campus houses a state‑of‑the‑art medical facility and serves as the home base for Flight For Life Colorado. The hospital has four trauma rooms, including a T‑10 room, and a dedicated field‑to‑surgery suite that is ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams. In 2023, the hospital received its Magnet designation, a distinction awarded to only 10 percent of hospitals worldwide. The institution also holds numerous other accreditations and certifications, including those from the American Heart Association, the Chest Pain Center (CPC), the American College of Cardiology, the Joint Commission’s National Quality Approval, the Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award, NAPBC Accreditation, and the American College of Radiology. Pay Range In Colorado only, pay ranges begin at $20.00 for non‑certified medical assistants and $21.25 for certified medical assistants. Overall pay range: $18.00 – $31.61 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
