Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 or 48-hour weeks available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, working with a diverse patient population including orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, and surgical patients (GI, urology, gynecological)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians to deliver safe and effective care
• Maintain a standard staffing ratio of 1:5–6 patients on nights, with LPN support available when ratios flex
• Float to other Medical Surgical units as needed, typically approximately once per week based on unit needs
• Participate in facility orientation during the first two weeks of assignment
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required; pending certification accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain
• Ability to work with a variety of clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
• Availability to complete non-billable orientation modules as required
• Proof of flu vaccination required; exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Experience working across multiple Med Surg unit types or in a float capacity
• Familiarity with orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiopulmonary, or surgical patient populations
