Sales Enablement Leader

Job Summary

The Sales Enablement Leader leads complex projects and initiatives, partners with mid- to senior-level leaders, and provides strategic, data-driven guidance while coaching and developing others across the team. The role requires strong leadership and project management capability, the ability to influence and anticipate business partner needs, and the judgment to connect day-to-day work to broader line-of-business and KeyCorp strategy.

Within Consumer, this role leads business enablement execution supporting Business Development and Partnerships. The Sales Enablement Leader translates business priorities into scalable processes, templates, tools, content, reporting and operating routines that improve team effectiveness and support growth across new and existing partner relationships.

Essential Functions

• Leads complex projects and initiatives from planning through implementation; prioritizes multiple workstreams, manages dependencies and delivers against tight deadlines.
• Proactively identifies and solves business problems using data, business knowledge, critical thinking and sound judgment.
• Leads business partner interactions, drives for results and provides recommendations aligned with business priorities and longer-term strategy.
• Reviews deliverables and coaches others on approach, analysis, communication and work product; may have direct reports.
• Proactively guides the work of others, serves as a mentor and integrates activities across the immediate team and cross-functional partners.
• Demonstrates executive presence, contributes an informed point of view and holds self and others accountable for commitments and outcomes.
• Builds effective relationships with mid- to senior-level leaders and is recognized as a collaborative and trusted business partner.
• Anticipates business partner needs, sees the bigger picture and advises leaders on practical solutions, risks, tradeoffs and opportunities.
• Leads the development and execution of business enablement strategies supporting Business Development and Partnerships, including go-to-market planning, partner activation and team readiness.
• Develops and governs reusable templates, playbooks, pitch materials, presentations, communications, training resources and other tools that enable consistent execution.
• Leads the creation of clear, compelling and compliant materials that support new business efforts and existing partner relationships, coordinating reviews with Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance and other partners as needed.
• Establishes scalable intake, prioritization, workflow, content-management and project-management practices that improve efficiency, transparency and accountability.
• Uses reporting, dashboards and performance insights to monitor adoption, execution and outcomes; translates findings into recommendations for leaders and teams.
• Synthesizes business, partner, customer and market insights into thought leadership, executive-ready recommendations and practical guidance for internal teams.
• Leads change management for go-to-market strategies, new product launches, and process updates.
• Promotes a strong risk and control environment through appropriate documentation, approvals, disclosures, issue escalation and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned, at any time with or without notice.
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, and partnership marketing, ideally in finance, healthcare, HR tech, or employee benefits.
• Experience in business support, enablement, program management, marketing, partner activation and sales strategies, customer acquisition programs.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience leading the work of others or managing a small team
• Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across a matrixed organization.

Skills

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to drive work end to end, prioritize competing demands and manage to deadlines.
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills; ability to organize information and create clear, executive-ready materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express complex concepts in terms understandable to business partners and senior leaders.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving ability; uses data and business context to make decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and engage effectively across a matrixed organization.
• Ability to anticipate needs, understand process flow and identify opportunities for improvement, standardization or automation.
• Understanding of line-of-business and KeyCorp strategy and the ability to connect team activities to broader business objectives.
• Knowledge of reporting, data visualization, content governance and project-management tools preferred.
• Leadership, coaching, relationship-building and organizational skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
