The industrial team has intentionally shifted toward hiring more experienced PMs because the complexity of design-build manufacturing work requires people who can think ahead, anticipate issues, and operate independently rather than rely on heavy oversight. You’ll be working on projects that directly impact how companies operate — manufacturing facilities, expansions, and technically complex builds that require coordination across multiple disciplines. The team values proactive communication, strong client relationships, and PMs who can drive projects forward instead of waiting for direction. Culturally, it’s a place where accountability and urgency matter, but without unnecessary bureaucracy. You’ll have visibility with leadership, a clear path toward Senior PM, and the ability to influence how projects are run and how the group continues to scale. Job Details This role is built for an experienced construction PM who can independently run projects from preconstruction through closeout with minimal oversight. The Grand Rapids need is focused on adding execution capacity for industrial/manufacturing work and partnering with existing PM/SPM leadership on active and upcoming projects. Typical responsibilities include leading preconstruction efforts, coordinating internal teams and design partners, managing client communication, and driving projects forward proactively rather than waiting on direction. Projects typically range from about $2M–$16M. The ideal background includes 5+ years in construction, experience working for or closely with a General Contractor, strong industrial/manufacturing exposure, and the ability to manage projects independently. Design-build experience, architecture/engineering background, and working knowledge of structural, mechanical, or civil systems are all strong pluses.
