Neurology Veterinary Technician

Location Torrance, CA Job Title Veterinary Technician – Neurology Compensation and Bonuses This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a sign‑on bonus and retention bonuses:

• 5,000 sign‑on bonus
• 2,500 retention bonus at 12 months
• 2,500 retention bonus at 24 months

Role Responsibilities Obtain client histories, present treatment plans, review discharge instructions, and provide client education on complex disease processes. Perform anesthetic induction and monitor anesthetized patients for advanced diagnostic procedures (CT, endoscopy, bone marrow aspirates, joint taps, etc.). Monitor and treat patients requiring intensive care, recognize significant changes, and notify the attending veterinarian. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on memberships, medications, and additional treatments. Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records and supporting practice systems. Obtain relevant health history and maintain accurate medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience and Skills Requirements Veterinary technician licensure preferred. 1‑2 years of clinical experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
