Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of individuals spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups through standardized assessments and hands-on observation.
• Create individualized treatment plans that aim for short- and long-term goals tailored to each patient's communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused one-on-one therapy sessions encompassing aspects of communication, language, fluency, and swallowing processes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members, to establish effective care plans.
• Empower patients and families with strategies and knowledge to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring seamless continuity and quality of care.
• Document treatment processes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and organizational protocols.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the speech-language pathology field through continual education and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
