Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations on patients spanning across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational analysis.
• Design customized treatment frameworks that cater to both immediate goals as well as enduring speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy sessions that target communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to create integrated patient care plans.
• Empower patients and their families through educational support that promotes progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Support occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the treatment experience.
• Document treatment activities meticulously to meet state, federal, and organization-specific standards.
• Remain updated on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and interactions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of starting.
