Lubbock is known for its welcoming community, approachable pace of life, and wide-open skies—an excellent backdrop for your next Texas nursing assignment.Travel RN Job Details\n \n Assignment Type: Travel RN\n Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse\n Location: Lubbock, TX 79410\n Duration: 13 weeks\n Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00)\n Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week\n Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 - $1,840\n Orientation: 40 hours\n Setting: Short-term acute care hospital\n Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics\n Charting System: Epic\n Floating: Required to other acute care departments as needed\n Registered Nurse Job Requirements\n \n Active Registered Nurse license with compact eligibility in hand at time of submission\n At least 1 year of recent RN experience required\n Previous travel nursing experience required\n Experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or a similar acute care setting preferred\n Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS\n Experience with Epic charting system required\n Strong skills in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, blood product administration, wound care, and rapid response support\n Must be comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patients with a typical 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio\n Must be flexible and willing to float within other acute care units\n Must be available to work required weekend shifts and commit to 3 of the 5 major holidays\n Med/Surg Tele Nurse Responsibilities\n \n Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients in an acute care hospital\n Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition\n Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and support central line and feeding tube care\n Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support treatment plans and discharge readiness\n Perform ongoing assessments, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate updates to the care team\n Support rapid response and code team efforts when indicated\n Provide education and compassionate care to patients and families\n Float to other acute care units within the hospital as needed based on patient care demands\n \n Apply now for this Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse opportunity in Lubbock, Texas, and take the next step in your Texas nursing career!
